Hi Luid The code that was observed would correspond to P 0190. This would determine an intermittent reading of the sensor or poor signal condition of the wiring / circuit to the Ecu, including dirt / rust at the input of the pin. This pressure sensor operates by variable electric resistance of 5v according to the Rpm so that the Ecu determines the flow rate at the moment of injection. The pump is not just causing poor pressure. In this case the suction valve scv intervenes, the injectors depend on the correct pressure for their operation, unless diesel is used outside the specification that could affect the delicate injection system.

Take pressure sensor references, the values are variable at different Rpm of the engine, reaching 4.5 at maximum pressure value. Check the wiring of the sensor to the input pin of the Ecu, it can present rust in the connector delivering wrong signal.
