Kia Besta 1994 diesel pulls oil by rod

Hello friends I have a Kia Besta 1994 diesel, it was repaired and apparently broke a nozzle in the valve cover where a hose goes to the intake manifold. From that moment, it drains oil through the dipstick, even through the valve cover gasket, the mechanic says it has problems with the rings, I read that if a valve that is called PCV is plugged it can have that problem. I would like if someone helps me to know where this valve is and if there is a method to prove if it is damaged. Thank you

Hi. They have to take care of the damage caused. For what you comment there is an excessive pressure load that will cause leaks not only in the valve cover gasket but also in engine seals and seals, even the crankshaft pulley. An obstruction / modification in the PCV will not allow the recirculation of gases to the admission to be burned causing harmful conditions for the engine. The internal membrane of this valve has a diaphragm allowing the passage in only one direction, the hydrocarbons, the temperature and the amount of dirt degrade it affecting it and closing the passage, only its replacement is necessary. In any case it is first necessary to restore the faulty connection and verify that the circuit is connected. Salu2.

Thank you very much, very clear your explanation although now I have another question, I went to a house of spare parts of the brand and tells me that this vehicle does not use a PCV valve, that this problem originates in that they placed a cylinder cover gasket that It is not the original and the holes where the gases leave the crankcase to the valve cover are covered and it seems to me that it can be because starting the engine without the hose that joins the valve cover with the intake, no gas comes out there. I would like your opinion, thank you very much
