Friends I have the following problem with this brand Minipa ET-3960 ammeter clamp when turning on the HOLD, RANGE, SEL buttons, they press themselves thinking that it was worn rubber or some sulfate inside the tracks to get out of doubt if it is the buttons that are sulfated or the tracks that are making short in the integrated one that uses the FS9721_LP3 disconnect from the pcb the pin 31,32,33,34 which those pins correspond to SELECT, RANGE, REL, HOLD and when turning it on again it continued with the same fault check each of the components associated with it and all the capacitors and resistors were in good condition then remove the resistance of 1mega ohm in the 4mhz quartz oculator the equipment now works perfectly all its buttons and the fault did not turn to produce but sometimes it is difficult to turn on reading the manual mentions that this resistance is to stabilize the frequency or start-up of the ocilator my question is, will it be that the quartz crystal is damaged or Is this out of frequency at which it works? Why does eliminating the resistance that goes in parallel with the quartz crystal work correctly only sometimes it costs you to turn on? In the event that it is not the crystal, will it be that the integrated has a short or is being damaged? 1mega ohm resistance is in good condition. I don't have another 4mhz crystal to get out of doubt.

Hello, if the glass is the tubular type of the mini, it may be damaged, I don't know why but they are prone to damage. Change it and try to see what happens.

Indeed, as Carlos Quiroga indicates, it is possible that your problem comes from the oscillator, you would have to change the crystal for another, even if it is not exactly the same frequency.

I have a crystal of 4,233 mhz official? What I don't understand is why it works perfectly without the resistance in parallel with the eye glass and putting the 1 mega ohm resistor back on again.

Because the crystal must be out of the frequency that the micro can withstand and when charging it with the resistor the problem appears, try that crystal and notice if you are going to have to get one of 4Mhz.

ready friends and solve the issue it turns out that it was not the glass I bought it again and it gave the same problem was a capacitor of 4.7uf at 6.3v had the capacitance well but the ESR was terrible marked the meter 14kohm which is crazy replace one for the same characteristics this had the same capacitance but an ESR of 3ohm to put it on and test it worked perfect even in the measurements no longer failed to turn on or anything we can take for granted the solution to this problem.
