I have a whirlpool washer that is pulling water through the transmission. The model is the same as the one they are taking apart in this video:
The only difference is that the metal part of the tub does not have the notches they use with the extractor in the 9:10 minute
Once they disarmed it in my house, but to extract the transmission they hit the tip of the arrow, and the transmission broke, a new one had to be bought.
Wedge insurance is loose and everything else is disassembled, there is only the transmission and the cross-shaped plate where the bearing and internal retainer is.
I've already tried letting it soak with water and vinegar, loosening oil, hitting the tip (not too hard), hitting using a 3/4 tube? which manages to free the tip of the arrow (it is between the rubber seal and the bell pole). I have also tried to pry and hitting the bell below with a rubber mallet. It is totally stuck.
In a few days they will call someone who is dedicated to this, but anyway I have nothing to do these days and I would like to keep trying.
Apart from continuing to hammer, the only thing I can think of is to heat the metal part of the tub with a blowtorch until it thunders and try again with the 3/4 tube, or disassemble the transmission by loosening the screws so that only the bell and be able to hit the tip better.
Even assemble an extractor and drill some holes in the metal part of the tub?
Disassemble everything from the bottom, that is, remove the top cover board and then turn the washing machine complete and then disassemble the transmission and take out the arrow and you have the bell pole, then again you turn the washing machine to heat on the pole and with an arrow you hit the pole and the rotating tub comes out, try not to nod the pole because it gets stuck, since the tub comes out, you remove the crosshead.
Finally I managed to separate them. A stillson wrench had to be used on the transmission tube below, while another person was holding the basket. After many turns and aflojatodo oil took off little by little.
