The standing fan that I am fixing does not turn when the blades are on, but without them, it turns without problems. I already changed the capacitor, canceled the thermal and made a bridge, clean it completely and grease, and nothing. Anyone know what problem you may have? I appreciate opinions !!!

The magnetic straightness is damaged from there that the electromagnetic field is weak and only works without load, the damage was caused by overheating, to check this try to stop the motor shaft by hand, if you stop it you are confirming the fault and there is no left more than rewind or a new one with warranty, compare costs and comment.

That's right, but I want to add that some make the mistake of eliminating the thermal thinking that that will solve the problem, but the only thing that is achieved with that, is to further damage the engine, it may work for a while but it will get so hot that the Engine will die before. If the fan is already years old it is possible that it has already fulfilled its useful life. And repairing it will be almost as expensive as buying a new one.

You are right, I know several people who are technicians and omit it for saving a ticket or some Chinese economic fans no longer bring it from the factory are disposable, greetings from Acapulco, Mexico.

Thank you very much people. I am not a technician, or anything, but I venture to fix it alone. And apparently it has no solution

Do not be discouraged save it and go to the recycling centers and you may find a similar motor discarded by blown fuse.

And to keep it on the record, once I took a motor from a water pump to the technical service which had a thermal protector. The fault was that after half an hour of work the engine turned off, after 5 minutes I started it again without problems. It happened to me twice. The engine was 10 years old. Ok, I started to investigate the thermal and I knew that it was activated when the engine temperature reached 100 degrees, so I turned it off automatically to protect it. But the technician told me that I was going to take it out and that I was not going to see problems. FALSE. The engine that comes with the thermal is for something.

It is specifically designed to work in a temperature range and the thermal serves to protect it in order to repair the engine later. Those engines were old, so the possibility of repair was feasible. Rewind the motor again and change the thermal. Today, re-starting an engine is as expensive as buying a new engine. Once the thermal is activated at least once it is a sign of depletion of the magnetic field of the coils and therefore it is heated that the thermal fires. Moral.
If it is there it is for something.

By the way, there are engines that do not bring it, the most modern and with greater capacity. Although they will always bring some protection system but for being of recognized brand, if they have spare parts and for being more expensive it is worth re-starting again.

Why did you cancel the thermal? What was the fault that made you open it? The thermal works when the engine overheats to protect it, but sometimes they spoil either because the device has already fulfilled its useful life or forced work the engine, and if it worked forced, the winding or the coil is worn, or exhausted . But as this is an already open topic I would like you to see the following link with the solution ....
