Hi. This diode is usually placed to reduce engine speed. You can place a 1N5408 without problems that is 3 amps or higher. regards



If the selector is 3-speed square and you have the 3 wires of the speeds coming from the winding it does not use a diode, from there the photo, the dial selectors that I have take it between the 2 speed and the 3 speed, luck and comments.



Ok friend Apollonius I didn't get that Diode but I got the 1N5408 of the 250 vol 3 amp, and I placed it as you said in the 2nd and 3rd speed and it works well the 3 speeds work ... a million thanks ... from Mérida , Venezuela
