First of all, make sure you put the TV screen on the right channel, since it often happens that we don't put it where it has to be and that's why the audio is heard and there is no video. The first thing I would do is to try it on another TV, to confirm that it is not a problem with the TV or its inputs. As a second option replace the RCA cable (the colored one) with another. And third option what you did, check swollen or burned capacitors. In that case, remove it carefully. The voltage is usually in the same body or on the same plate where you take it.
