Two days ago I noticed that when I turned on I made a noise like crickets that noise disappeared as soon as I drove a little but then it appeared at times also note that when turning the wheel I made a clip (I do not know if that is related to what happened ). Yesterday I tried God when I left the road and entered the city first on the board I came out battery failure, then fault and the brake pedal was locked, not sink, everything worked but the pedal does not sink. Now it is in mechanic but I believed that those things did not happen in my ignorance I believed that those failures could not be so easy. Could you give me some clue that is what I failed. I would appreciate it and score all your answers.

according to my humble opinion you may have cut the belt of the alternator, most likely share the same belt with the vacuum pump, which operates the brake booster, and that is why your brakes were hard and turned on the battery light

that the battery light on the dashboard indicates that in 99% of cases the alternator fails, but that the alternator fails does not explain that the brake gets hard, are two totally different things, being your diesel engine, this one has a vacuum pump that as I mentioned earlier you may or may not share the belt with the alternator, did not your mechanic say anything about the brake?


