Terminal 50 of the Starter Solenoid Makes

Good everyone, this time I come with a question about the starter solenoid I have, it is new, what calls me, I just installed it and what catches my attention is that terminal 50 as they say, or the that comes from the ignition key for starting, when testing with the multimeter, because it bridges me between terminal 50 and ground, I do not think that is normal since it reaches current at the time of starting and in theory when making mass with the chassis it would be a short. Could someone clarify that doubt? Regards.

If you perform continuity tests with a tester, you will always find continuity, because the internal coils will show that continuity, just as you do with a light bulb, it will show continuity.

What you are measuring is normal. The solenoid has 2 coils. One of current in series with the starter that is yel that produces the coupling and the other of tension that is between the terminal that comes from the key and ground. It is useful when the engine starts keep the coupling retained. If you look at the image, you will realize that the measure you do is normal.
