Hello, most likely the solenoid has been damaged. Replacement part located above the starter donkey. But the fault can come from the drum of the starter key too, which sometimes loosens the lid of the starter where the terminals go. So you have several options to go checking, but I would start taking out the donkey and try it out with the battery, see if you operate the solenoid together with the donkey, if it does not, make a replacement. But only look for the side of the drum. Oh and since you take out the donkey, check if the bendix is fine, this is like a bicycle pinion, it turns free on only one side, if it turns on both sides it is missing, and it will also replace. I hope these indications serve you.
