good afternoon my problem is the following in advance thanks for reading my problem hoping you have a solution; I have a 1990 geo prizm car that used to throw oil and the engine seals, signage, time band and target packing were changed and the same surprise continued. when walking it the engine fills with oil above. the mechanic told me that that was not now that the compression is leaking that the solution is to buy half block or the complete engine I would like to know your opinion thanks in advance

Good morning, good for what I interpret, the distribution seals were changed, and oil is thrown over the top, it can be the broken cylinder cover gasket or the valve cover gasket.

First you must see where the oil throws, "above" does not work

It could be through the oil filler cap, it would be necessary to see if it has the suction from below the carburetor for compression discharge, if so it spits gasoline out there. luck

Hi. Then they can be one of three things ... the seam cover gasket is no longer useful and it's time to change it. Some of the spark plugs have a pressure outlet (I doubt it if I don't throw it away) the cover where the oil is filled to the engine does not cover properly and (most likely) the engine is rising compression causing the rocker cover gasket to deteriorate and the engine vent is also letting out that compression with oil. .generally are the piston rings (compression) damaged. Greetings and luck

ALAEN to have white smoke has nothing to do with the valve cover gasket, it would be for the guides and valve seals, but in that case it does not come out but for the cylinder and there is if the smoke would be seen. or with balansines, it has a cork or rubber gasket, because oil gets in the rocker arm when the engine starts if they do not melt, and that oil goes out when the engine is started.

Did any of you already find out where the oil comes from? "... If the put is filled with oil over ..." at least I have not managed to understand where he lost or what the phrase in quotes means

on the upper side of the engine and sorry to put it fills up it gets stuck or it gets wet I don't know how I can describe it so that I better understand the oil is on the top of the engine totally on the spark plug wires alternator carburetor battery liquid tank of brakes in a few words when you open. copper you go all stained, wet full or smeared with oil I appreciate your attention to my problem greetings

Dear friends, the oil leaks where the spark plugs are (not the spark plugs). Change the packing of the big and the four packages that are in each tube of the spark plugs.

Just assuming that there are several places to drip oil, valve cover cannot be because it only transpires sometimes, cylinder cover gasket may be but most likely the engine is loose of rings and compression passes to the oil-raising casing and the strip through the crankcase vent may be through the broken or missing hose, but this is only assumption. And as said by the mechanic there would be a leak in the block, but to repair a block fissure it is not necessary to change the entire engine, depending on the fissure it can be covered with epoxy welding.

I found the fault is the power..but I have a doubt if that part is damaged it is normal for the engine to lose strength
exactly today I made it all normal to walk it a few blocks and back I wanted to climb it for a small ramp by more than accelerated it did not run as accelerated any comment? Thank you in advance for your attention

Two questions, the first one, what is power? In my country it is not called that way to any part of an engine.
The second, when you say that it does not rise, I interpret that despite accelerating and raising the rpm of the engine, it does not have the strength to repel the ramp? If it is just because it slips the clutch plate, it can be worn out or wet with oil because oil leaks or leaks from the bed retainer.
