I don't know in that model and brand but the glass is independent of the glass lifter. Generally the mechanism is hooked to some small rails that scissors shape raise or lower the glass. What I want to say is that the mechanism can replace it without having to take out the glass. Just tie it up, so it doesn't bother you.
