AIR CONDITIONING PEUGEOT 505

Hello friends; start at the end and then abound in the details: in my Peugeot 505 Familiar Diesel model 1989 an exact week after loading the system (23/12) with the corresponding gas type (Freon 12) burst high hose (30 / 12), which was the original, clarifying that it had replaced the dehydrating filter and years before the condenser. The compressor installed is a SANDEN 508 (the plate says exactly SANDEN U508 Model U4534 OIL AMT: 175 cc OIL: SUNISO 508 so that there is no data). I clarify that the original compressor is the Seiko Seiki SS-1 70 PSS1 but I replaced it with the SANDEN after checking three times that it is not possible to repair the shaft seal leakage correctly because it is not possible for that compressor to seal known origin (it comes in a blister without mark or origin) unlike the SANDEN in which seal of US origin is obtained although not original that would give reasonable result. I understand that the SANDEN 508 compressor also equips the PEUGEOT 505 without changing any other components. According to the spare parts catalog PEUGEOT corresponds to No. 6455A5 until 09/11/01 when it changed to No. 6455A9. I have already replaced the hose but before I load the load I would like to know if anyone can help me with some reflection on the possible cause of the hose exploding, clarifying that the electric fan at the time of the load started together with the compressor, and I do not know if it would be logical that the reason may be the age of the hose. In another annoying order with two other doubts: -If someone has to offer me a can of Freon 12 Dupont brand (900 g or 1 kg, I do not know how it came) thank you let me know but as I think impossible to get it I am thinking of choosing between the brands REFRIGERANT UR 12 or the ANTON YH12, if someone has an opinion on whether one agrees more than the other, I will be grateful. I do not want to use the Dupont MO 49 replacement for the Freon 12 because I understand it works at greater pressure and I want to keep everything as original as possible, considering what has already happened to me and also because I want to sell the car and not add more problems. - what amount of oil should I add, after the breakage and when removing the hose add 6 ml (measured in a syringe) but I suppose something else must have lost pulverized together with the gas, the compressor had the correct level when installing it and its capacity according to the plate would be 175 cc. (I do not know what the acronym AMT after Oil on the plate mean), I suppose that the excess or lack some damage must originate. Thank you very much for any opinion and apologies for the length of the consultation.

Has the fixed crankshaft blade or is this original with the magnetic system?

Hi, the Freon 12 has been banned since 1995 in all countries that adhered to not emit more CFCs to the atmosphere. the replacement is the R406, but I recommend that you change the circuit oil by sweeping with a cleaning agent (I use industrial solvent). As for the bursting of the hose if as you say the electro works, you must control 3 things: 1. that the direction of rotation of the electro, has to "pull / blow" towards the motor 2. Control the high circuit pressure. 3. Make sure that the condenser is clean and does not have folded flaps (fins) for good wind flow and check that the return to the compressor is cool to cool the compressor and regards

Thank you so much Richard for your quick and careful response and sorry for my delay in answering you (my PC stopped working and in my work I did not have time to do it). The R 406 you mention did not know it until now but I will investigate it; the replacement I know is the MO 49 but I have got someone who still has Freon 12 Dupont brand and I intend to use this is the original with which came the installation in this car. I will take into account the points that you advised me, and verify that the electric fan operates from the pressure switch (plug). I'm going after.

Hello Richard, I ran out of the field in the previous window. Excuse the ignorance, but the return to the compressor is the low hose? In another order the electric fan (which did not work since 2013) when starting to run to a noise as if the paddles touched something, after checking that it did not happen and turned freely turn it on again and when it normalized the speed stopped doing it . However when it is working - a few minutes only - it emits a rumor that a person told me would be caused by lack of lubrication of the shaft? Thank you.

Hi, the return is the circuit of low pipe thicker, it is necessary to lubricate it, but the most probable is that you have to send it to embujar to electro (or to change governmanes). Salutes

Hi Richard, thank you for the answer back. I would like to clarify that as the "Comment" window is insufficient, I will open a new question with my username (juancamansilla) because the one I am using (merlin) is from a friend and I should use your email and with the same title if the system allows me or adding a word, this is not so you have to keep responding but to resend (I have no enie in this computer) the events after the load. Greetings. Then I rate you from this question. Thank you very much.
