Greetings friends. I have in my workshop, a Samsung TV, model CL21Z30MQ, K16B chassis, which did not turn on, since I had the Q404 (FQP630) in short, as well as the D404 and D408. I replaced the components mentioned above with the corresponding values, with the exception of the mosfet, which I used an IRF630, and the TV turned on normally, but I notice that the mosfet is quite hot. It should be noted that it does not heat up quickly, it takes about 30 or 45 minutes to warm up, but it seems to me that the temperature it reaches at that time is quite a lot. The TV does not show distortion in the geometry of the image, the voltage in + B is 129V, I have left it more than 6 hours on and so far it has not burned the mosfet, but it heats up a lot. As a test, I replaced the IRF630 mosfet with the BUK455-200B, and the result was the same. My question is: On these TVs, is it normal for that mosfet to heat so much? I appreciate any comments about it.

they always heat up, but if you feel a certain distrust you can choose to adapt another heatsink, attaching it to the one originally brought by the TV, as long as you have space ... greetings.

These power components, in work, release energy by converting it into heat, thus increasing its temperature, for this reason they always have a heat sink to absorb that excess temperature and keep it within its design tolerance. Being its replacement of the characteristics in voltage and amperage (power) of the original, it will not have problems.
