Hello colleagues, the question of the day is: can a thin barrel screen be replaced by a thick barrel of the same characteristics, same size, depth, everything is the same except the type of cannon? The fact is that I came to the workshop a 21 "flat but culon TV, with the broken screen and the screen that I have right now at hand is an equal in dimensions but with the thick cannon can it be replaced? In case Yes, what are the steps to perform the replacement?

HIS NAME IS TRC MILIMETRIC LINEAR. (tube ray cathodic) the other is delta; FOR THE POSITION OF THE CANNONS OR CATODOS. MILIMETR, OKAY? THE TECHNICIANS MUST USE TECHNICAL TERMS UNTIL TECHNICAL ENGLISH.
YOU SHOULD USE THE YUGO AND PLATE OF THE SAME CINESCOPE OR TRC. AND HAVE THE CAP. AND PATIENCE TO GO PLACING IN YOUR PLACE ELEMENT BY ELEMENT. THERE IS A BOOK ON THAT THEME BY CARLOS ZETINA. LOOK FOR AND SUCCESS.

Yes, it can be replaced. The only difference is the connection of the sockets of both tubes. The thin barrel is seven active pins and the thick cannon is twelve, with 9 active pins. The yoke is also different in both cases. The one with the thick cannon must come with its yoke in place and then it must adapt its connection in the yoke socket on the TV.

Yes, the socket of the thick neck tube must have a socket for that type and the pins of the same must go to the plate and adapt, since the connections of one and the other do not coincide. zocalo.saludos

ok friend victor, I tell you that the original TV card has multiple holes to place different types of socalos. Well take out the socket of the thick tube and mount it on the trc plate to repair the pins match in that position with those of the trc plate of thick barrel check them pin by pin and that's fine.
Then I told him that the TV turned on but it has one more flaw and I think the problem is in the mother card I ask for suggestions.
The TV turned on but looks black and white when presenting the image, the blue screen looks normal and the numbers the same.

If it is another fault, check the jungle crystals

The problem is when giving an image, since they look black and white or without defined heat. It also has a kind of slight tab because the image is illuminated slightly intermittently. you can hear a little shriek with the fluctuation rhythm that could be generating the lighting. WHAT ARE YOU SUGGESTING

Good friend Víctor Thank you for the support provided, I tell you that the TV is ready, the lack of colors was due to the fact that all the color was lowered in the menu and the dye was placed all to the side so that is why I presented that image so weird. In relation to the fluctuation in the brightness of the screen I could not find that. I will continue trying not to give it as well because it is something very slight almost not noticeable but if it happens that the image lights a little intermittently.

Hello colleague, I have done it, you have to change with the yoke and the trc plate, just make sure the pins on the screen match and that's it, good luck
