Good afternoon people . I want to ask you a question to see if someone gives me a hand. I have a 32 inch lg tv. It began to lose brightness from the right to lose the image completely (it has sound and everything goes except there is no brightness, it is more I do well it looks dark image) I read a lot and I know that it can be the led strips (I have 3 inside from the tv) or the source board. The problem is that I am very fair and I really have bad experiences with technicians who want to charge me fortunes and I really don't know how to test or know if it is the source or the strips. Can you give me some information or recommend someone in Buenos Aires, who doesn't kill me? Jaaj do not know how ugly it is to have my 2 children on vacation and without TV .. a data . I was about to buy the source plate in ml and change it but the question I have is that it makes noise one of the coils (I think they are yellow squares coils) and when I unplug the cable that feed the LEDs it stops making noise .. someone knows which will it be the problem? I do not want to buy something that is not .. I give myself tomorrow with electronics since I did 3 years of technical but more than a tester I do not have to test. I appreciate the help .. Hugs. Nico

It can be both. The best thing to say is that they are the LEDs, in order to test them you need to disassemble the entire lcd panel, with how delicate it is. Like your cables, patience. To test the LEDs use the tester in the diode position and look one by one in the absence of another tool that is good and valid. The bad look one by one. if you take off the reflectors do not worry you hit them again in the same position. once ruled out that they are not the LEDs you can already say that it is the source and focus on testing this to repair it or buy one but not before. As I said before, the safest thing is that they are the LEDs. They usually have several in poor condition or even short.

Go ahead . Very good I will try it. And the noise issue in Lafuente may be because the LEDs are short? On the other hand . When this happened to me, I disassembled the TV and tried the LEDs with the tester and none of them rang or came on. I tried one by one and nothing. It may be that the one who is short is the one who feeds others and that is why none worked? Thank you and I await your response and I tell you again about the noise at the source .. hug ..

Hi Nicolás, I think you have to take a trained technician in LED and LCD, do not spend on plates, sure it is an open or short LED, and if it did not turn on one is because it must be 6v and 10k ohm analog tester turns on just .... and if you do not work to repair led you have to invest in specific tools to repair led. I had to train and burn several LEDs to learn and a lot, a lot of reading.

It is the idea. But you can recommend someone to tell me the post. I repair many things and what is true is that I do not have many tools to test for that reason I ask for an opinion. Needless to say, to change a washing machine capacitor that came out 90 pesos and 5 technicians who consult, the cheapest one wanted to count 2000 pesos. That's why I ask, to go to one and have a stronger idea of the problem ...

The LEDs are smd and can be 30/30 the size, if it does not light on the scale for 10 ohm and yes for 10K it means that they are 6v and both are 1w, and you need a soldering station with a temperature regulator, you are from Argentina ?

Hello Vallin, Daniel .... Nicolas, welcome, I will try to clarify your doubts If the LEDs were measured with the tester and none of them should be 6 volts, (the LEDs that have the cat eye lenses know to be 3 v and the transparent 6V) there is a practical tool to measure from a led a strip and even the full back light is this https://yoreparo.com/tv/televisores/lcd/preguntas/1561760/probador-de-tiras-led?p=5833971#5833971 In your model, usually in your model, the LEDs are the ones that fail, to diagnose if it is the source or the LEDs you have to observe the tendency of the LEDs that is printed in a box at the source, then the tip of the mass tester and the other, in the connector of the LEDs in led + you light and measure, if the voltage is greater than the one that says the source and in led- there is no tension it is nailed that the LED strip is open, it is more, you mention that I obscured a part of the screen if the voltage in led + is lower than the one indicated by the source it is possible that it is the source or there is a short is somewhere watch this video, it's not your model but the same technology If you live in Mardel I will fix it, hehe Cheers If you ask a question in the forum, always answer it, the colleagues who answer you willingly to help you, spend your time so choose the best answer and give a Like to those who participated Thank you for participating in the forum and Success with your repair
