Dear colleagues, I hope you are doing very well. I wanted to leave my concern about a tv philips 32pfl3605 / 77 which enters with the problem that is going well for a while and then the backlight turns off. When doing the first visual inspection, he detected that the backlight transformer had completely loose welding of one of its points. Perform a cleaning and solve. After this, the TV was running and the screen did not turn off again. I left it more than 12 hours on and without drama, then I decided to put the back cover on and try it again in case of doubt ... here began the drama, turned on and after 3 seconds the backlight turns off again while the audio is running and the rest functions ... I went back to check welds, all good. The voltage of pin 1 of U401 remains all the time in 12v. The voltage on the C607 and C611 electrolytic capacitors is at 390v. COlock the 10K resistor between legs 15 and 16 of U401 to cancel the protection and only this way it works without turning off ... Any idea what will be happening? because he walked so well for so many hours ... Thanks in advance!

It is an lcd with CCFL lamps. It is not backlit with leds gabriel.
As for the problem, the inverter (the one that solved) may be failing.

Exactly it is not of LEDs, it has fluorescent lamps ... but if the transformer fails because it works if I cancel the protection?

I explain: I knew how to go on a samsung tv that by canceling the protection this turned on, but I didn't want to leave it that way for obvious reasons. What had happened was that the chopper inverter overheated and surely lost turns. As the current sens and if it is outside its established parameters it is protected. I solved it by replacing said inverter, it may not be your case, but it is an idea to start. They can even be lamps.

If it is very possible, unfortunately this investor does not get it here ... and it is true that it heats, although capable it is normal that it works like this.
What is the risk if I leave the protection? Stop sensing consumption and then one day burn?

By placing a resistor to prevent the inverter from coming into protection, it is an indication to know that the lamps are exhausted, you can leave it like this, I assure you that that screen will be working for a long time ... greetings
