If you remove the strip you will have less lighting as a result it will look dark. In the area that is missing the strip. Assuming you use two strips You will have to modify the supply voltage to the LEDs. Otherwise you will burn more led. because if the LEDs are 3v and multiply by 24 LEDs, it will give you an approximate estimate of 72v. And if you use 2 strips or 16 LEDs they will be powered by 72v. That is 72v ÷ 16 = 4.5v. 1.5 v of more. And that's why they are going to burn. You must notify the customer of the citation as you say they are not achieved. As a technician I suppose that maybe you have another TV to get LEDs of the same characteristics. And put the tv. And of course also communicate to the client the citations.
