Hi everyone... Thanks in advance once again for your help ... This time it brings me the case of a L11 directv decoder which was working perfectly and suddenly stopped emitting a signal and began to emit a noise as if in short circuit. I disconnected it and once checked, I could see that the continuous sound it emits as if it were in short circuit, comes from what I think is the secondary transformer. I add image and description of the component that emits the sound. I don't know if it is definitely damaged to replace it, or it could be another component that causes it to fail. good friend the fault is at the source you should check diodes even that 400v filter those transformers very rarely damage tests and warnings remember to disassemble the components to measure well





Good evening my dear, check that you do not have a short circuit on the motherboard. If in such case you have it connected to the source. If it sounds like that in having it connected to anything you should have a short in the secondary stage of the source.
