Torch Mapp goes out

Hi, I have a torch of the map-pro type that when I touch the nozzle the metal I am heating goes out. for example, I'm heating an iron rod to turn it red hot and if I touch the metal with the tip of the nozzle it goes out. If I keep it away it works fine. Will anyone have an idea why this happens? thanks.

hello you have a problem of gas and air mixture, you lose the mixture to maintain combustion when approaching the torch, you should be able to increase the secondary air inlet on the torch, if any adjustment from behind. I hope you get an idea, regards

Hello, thanks for the answer. I had a buff gas torch of the type cheff that could regulate the air intake. This is an acetylene torch type but for propane (map pro) it only has a knob to give way to the gas and a trigger that fulfills the same function. I don't see another mobile part. Unless you have to see the regulator that goes to the bottle, that is, the peak where I connect it.
Will it have something to do with this?


