Hi, I bought an H.264 DVR that came without a hard drive, so I bought a special one for DVR (internal hard drive), but it works fine until you install the hard drive. I install it and the dvr turns off and does not turn on until disconnected. What could it be, because it turns off when the hard disk is connected? The hard drive that I bought 500 GB Thank you.,

Greetings, if the dvr turns off the problem is in the dvr regulator, change it to another that supports more amperage 2 or 3 amper, it has already happened to me with several dvr those failures and that has been the solution, and if in dvr it is of Chinese origin come with a very poor quality regulator

I did it but nothing. I connect a red flat cable that says SATA and until that moment well, I connect the other 4 color and the DVR is turned off.
Is that color that gives it true energy?



If the color one as you say is the power one, the other one is the sata, did you try the hard drive on a pc?
Is disk used or new?



It's a new hard drive, it came only yesterday. I had tried another used hard drive before and the same thing happened to me. I thought it was the album and I bought a new one, but it's still the same.
It may be the power cord that is failed. I have nowhere to test the new hard drive.

try connecting only the hard drive power and see if the dvr is turned off or not
and then you do the same with sata and tell us how it went



The SATA only works well, I disconnect the SATA and connect the power and immediately turn off the DVR.


