good afternoon, just this week I am installing the equipment, I bought it quite a long time but I never used it, now I installed it in a house with utp 5e cable since they were distances greater than the cable granted by the kit, with passive balum, it walked everything from 10 for three days then the problems started ... the hdd does not appear, nor do I see it, and it has burned the sources of the cameras that are 4.5 amper for the cameras and for e dvr another one connecting the remaining cameras already which are 8 cameras .... where can the problem be ??, The cameras are powered by balum cable and 5-pin pulpit traffic ... so the kit came. I add ... if the sources are connected no stabilizer or ups ... and yes How the dvr was connected to the same source of the cameras, NOW SHOULD I BUY SWITCH FOR CAMERAS AND APPLY ANOTHER FOR THE DVR? DO I BUY THE SAME SOURCES? TWO SOURCES COME TO ME WITH A PULPIT FOR 5 CAMERAS EACH SOURCE 12V 5 AMPER EACH SOURCE SWITCH. OR DO I BUY AN INDIVIDUAL FOR THE DVR?

Hello, burned all the sources ?, is a humid area where you are or the place is wet. Check that they do not have sulfate connectors that are usually responsible, I repaired several with that problem.

Buy two 4A or 5A sources only for the cameras, then connect 4 cameras per source. Use the pulpits so you avoid having to make splices. Then, give the DVR an individual source of minimum 3A. Keep in mind that the more amperage you give your teams the better it will be. These 3 sources connect them to a stabilizer, or if your budget allows it, to a UPS.
That way you shouldn't have any more problems. And now, take the opportunity to check how the connectors are, if you see that one has rust you can clean them by spraying them with WD40.
Luck!

Hello how are you? If you say that the sources burned you most likely have a problem with the power line. Do the sources have them connected directly to the 110V / 220V line or pass through a stabilizer / UPS-UPS? If the source of the DVR does not burn and you do not see the disc, but the DVR turns on and shows image, possibly that source is failing, and when delivering less current (amperage) than the required one does not get to "lift" the disc.

Hello from now thank you very much and this week I buy the sources for the cameras ... with pulpits or another leg the dvr .... I can place 7am 12v. To the cameras. Separating the 4 cameras by source and another source of 5am. 12v For the dvr? What do you think?

Hi, I usually use 5A every 4 cameras. If you put one of 4A every 4 you have to walk the same. Conventional cameras do not consume 1A, although sources rarely deliver the amperage they claim to deliver. If you can, buy 3 of 4A or 5A and forget about the problem
