Good afternoon. I appreciate your information. I am maintaining several Paradox SP7000 and SP6000 alarm panels. These have some smoke detectors, magnetic and PIR. These panels are installed by another company, but the smoke detectors have them connected directly to the AUX + and -, they do not do it through Rele or PGM, but when we did the smoke tests, the smoke detector is turned on, it sends the alarm but in about 5 seconds the detector lights go out and stop marking the area as open. In other words, they work very well, without the need for PGM or relay. According to my previous installations, the pgm and the relay are 100% necessary, but in this case they do not use it. The question is: How do they get the detector to send the alarm but not remain open so that when they enter the code everything is normal? I look forward to your help. Thank you. Fernando C.
