Sindelen 450 refrigerator
Short circuit occurs in the box that houses the relay.
Relay burns 20180114_223207.jpg [301.45kb]
I change the relay to a similar one but this one has a contact on the left side that the old one didn't have
After plugging in the pieces I connect the three cables.
The fridge works but after an hour and a half it still doesn't stop.
Questions.
How long should the engine stop?
Do I have to make any other connection for that contact that was free?
Is it necessary to place the cover that covers the cables and the relay for some temperature issue?
Is there any other reason why the refri worked without stopping?
Or having been inactive for several days, do you work longer before stopping?
And finally, how long can the engine work without stopping until some damage occurs?
I clarify that you connect the two wires on the right side of the relay and the other wire on the part contact
that goes up the relay as it was before.
THANK YOU
I hope you will not sanction me if I send a warm greeting to all the noble rescuers of technology

Hello how are you? The relay you bought to replace the previous one is a universal PTC, the fridge has three wires so I see in the image one is connected in the thermal and the other two are connected in numbers 1 and 2.
The pin on the left contact is used for compressors that use as a capacitor starter.
The compressor will stop when the refrigerator reaches the set temperature at which it is programmed, remember that it lasted several days without working so you need to take out all the heat inside and refrigerate so that you can turn off the compressor.
As for the cover that covers the cables and electrical parts, it is ideal that you replace it to protect said parts from surrounding parts or something else.
