Fridge engine does not freeze up

Regards, I have a Magic Queen Model MQ 770 fridge, which was fitted with a 1/5 engine, functional, but used. The black grid behind was in poor condition and every time it was put under pressure (without gas) it opened a different hole, so they set the grill of a frost fridge that is about half the size of the refrigerator , the technician tells me that he has another grill inside and that makes up for that. At the beginning he did not start the engine by the term, it turned out that the thermal he had was 1/6 and he mounted one 1/4. now start and cool .... Above it cools a lot, but it does not freeze, and below it is cold but not as it should. the technician (who disappeared) told me that if the frost was up in the tube that came out of the freezer, I would simply open the service valve and let out about 3 seconds of gas with the engine stopped, I did so, but that tube did Frost even until almost touching the engine, I let out about 3 seconds more of gas and it doesn't do so much frost, but it still does in that tube .... He told me that he put around 10PSI of pressure (that was what the gauge indicated), which is not if he used the full 500grs of gas that I bought ... What I can do? PD: When the clock cycles about 40 minutes, it defrosts that tube ... ah and sometimes the engine makes noises like water dripping inside ...

hello .... is this gas pass .- ... or is missing condenser ... in these cases that are experiments ... there is a very minor regulation so that it looks good ,,, ice can not reach the engine anymore that is sending him liquid ... that's the noise you hear ...

Do you have any idea how much gas you should put more or less?

if you do not have the corresponding amount of condenser spout go putting until you see that there is no return to the motor .... or take it out and so you are regulating ... you do not have to freeze the low spout that you see that it freezes

Unfortunately the engine went ashore for forced labor ... 3 different technicians saw it and all agreed on the same thing, 10 pounds for a 1/5 engine in a 2-door refrigerator is an exaggeration, which with 5 pounds or even 3 is enough ...
I'm fighting with the technician to answer me for the engine, since according to him it was 10 pounds ....

hello angel, that refrigerator is passed refrigerant, the return has to come fresh, pulling cold, not frozen so it does not cool well, in the refrigerator it has to have a label with the gram that it carries, it depends on the type of refrigerant it has and the volume (liters) greetings.

What gas does it take? If it is 134, you can take gas from it normally if it is another gas that is mixtures you have to take it out in liquid form, because if you take it out in the form of gas, only the lightest of the mixture comes out and it no longer works well. Gases that are mixtures are removed and charged in liquid form

Good evening, as colleagues say, the amount of refrigerant that an installation carries depends on the size of the equipment, the type of refrigerant and the application, if it is low, medium or high temperature, in your case, it would be low temperature and generally, for that type of refrigerators that carry compressors of 1/5 hp, the amount of refrigerant if R134a that is the most common, would be from 120 to 150 grams, in any case, next to the refrigerator or on the inside, manufacturers place a card of characteristics in which the model of the refrigerator is found, the type of refrigerant used and between brackets the amount of refrigerant, whether ounces or grams, these domestic refrigerators never They carry 500 grams, the largest usually take between 200 and 250 grams, when performing an additional grill work, you must be aware that the equipment is no longer within the design parameters, and for this reason, this type of work many times they carry I get a lot of headaches for both the client and the technician, it is the bad thing to alter the design of a device, if you are removing refrigerant, it would be good if you did it with a pressure gauge, reading the working pressure, these refrigerators with refrigerant R134a usually work between 1 and 2 psi, 10 psi is too much, this coolant is over and so frost the suction tube and it will not cool the refrigerator properly.
