How much refrigerant does it take?

Hello people, very good day to all. The reason for my question is that I don't know how much refrigerant a commercial showcase refrigerator has. I tell you that it has a 1/2 hp motor compressor in r22 and the evaporator is forced from 5 double sections of 5/8. It does not have the specification label of how much refrigerant it carries. I appreciate your answers.

Theoretically it could be about 500 grams, but practically better, when charging the gas one is fixed in the amperage of the motor that is in the indicated plate, in addition to fixing one in the intake tube of the compressor motor and when it is frosting there the load stops this with the open doors of the refrigerator to make heat transfer faster.



If your fridge is for freezing it would be a pressure of 20 to 25 psi to achieve -7 degrees If it is to hold 2 degrees it would be a pressure of about 40 psi

Thanks for commenting on the refrigerator, the load was very good until almost 40 psi controlling the amperage and frost on the suction tube and I look like new thanks again for the help.


