Master Fermin B nights I comment: "scrape the tube" of the compressor and it is not copper. I send you a photo, the extinguisher tank is not aluminum, it is like iron. We wanted to drill it and could not, we took advantage of the valve on the top to connect the hose. I send you both photos. I appreciate the instructions you consider. best regards.
Good! Felipe, the whole compressor does not look good, nothing more than the pipe, I see that it is long, I was referring to the union of the compressor pipe, that is, the one that is welded, maybe the other one is made of aluminum, but the one that is welded to the compressor (elpedazo) is made of copper and the one of the compressor is FIERRO, the one that is "aluminum" is cut and the piece of copper is left, however, it can be left that size and then place a bell-type connector (it is countersunk, with a countersink, to put a threaded connector and there is no need to solder, I hope you understand me, because here I find it difficult to explain.
I leave this video, where they explain how to countersink or flare tube or pipe: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jKl4G4DF4Vs this is the idea, so you don't weld anything, this video is for cooling, but you I went up, so that you better understand the idea that I want to convey, regards
Maestro Fermin.- I tell you.- The original tube that comes out of the compressor is 45mm, and is made of iron. One of the technicians brought a person and does not know if the tube is made of iron or aluminum. But everyone agrees that you have to weld him. to do the installation.-The objective of "do it yourself", it didn't work for us.- Master Fermin. I appreciate the time and its indications. - I am an elechronic technician, ours is an oscilloscope and a multimeter. Thanks a lot.- Best regards.
Philip
Good! The compressor is made of iron and in the refactionary they sell the rods called silver rods and they also sell flux, the iron alloy with copper is easier to weld with that rod, when it is iron with copper the flux, the torch can be the one that uses a plumber, to know about the other tube, if it is aluminum, a magnet is used, if it does not stick then if it is aluminum, but that of the compressor is FIERRO, best regards
Maestro Fermin.- His assessment was correct that the tube was "iron" .- On the other hand for this type of work you need tools that we do not have / use. What I bought was the hob, we do not use copper, so I am looking for what I can use it, now that it is fashionable to recycle tools .- Master Fermin grateful for his indications. best regards.
Mr. Juan Carlos.- I tell you: The workshop we have is electronic, we have an oscilloscope, multimeters etc.- Blacksmith tool we do not use, and as you have read, we do not even know how to distinguish between iron and aluminum. However, if we need to bond the plastic with metal strips from the computer base, this is because we make rustic adaptations. - Your proposal is an excellent option to try. We appreciate your indication. Thank you.- Best regards.
