Greetings dear friends of I repair, I have a problem with a digital whirpool fridge, the problem is that it did not cool when I checked it I found several faults. First the magnetic door seals were not closing properly so there was air leakage. Second there was an obstruction in, at the entrance of the capillary to the evaporator so the refrigerator was not cooling and thirdly the open door alarm sensor was activated.
I was able to solve the problem of obstruction in the system and changed the rubbers or magnetic gaskets of the doors. But after two days the client calls me saying that the refrigerator drops a lot of water and the open door alarm is activated and there is no way to stop it except by disconnecting the device and reconnecting. Check the drain was clogged clean it and it was partially solved, the next day the problem was that it was blocked by ice I was checked and I checked that the pill or bimetallic did not activate the resistance and apparently changed everything well.
But today I went and noticed something I had not observed the previous times and there is a freezing in the entire suction pipe from the evaporator to the entrance to the compressor a very thick layer of ice.
This is where my concerns come in, I am sure that the main problem may be excessive refrigerant gas and that when this occurs there is generally an increase in current consumption, also the condenser and filter are excessively hot and the evaporator cools little. But here I have the following is data: I have the suction pressure at 3psi below 0 that is to say empty, the current is at 0.9amp. And the condenser is condensing normally and the filter is warm as usual. What I observe when opening the evaporator is that again it is blocked of ice and the resistance has not been activated I measured the tablet and it is good but it seems that it is not the measure for this evaporator since I put an L47 -22F. And the one I had was an L15 -21C. My question is! if the fact that the resistance is not activated can cause the entire suction pipe to freeze to the compressor? ? or is it a problem of temperature sensor? or with the data that I mention the same I have an excess load ??
I thank you for your kind help with this issue and if you need me to provide more information about it, let me know. Regards
