Good day, I have a detail with my refrigerator, the timer it has is 10 hours but when it comes to a standstill by means of the thermostat (30 min) the timer stops turning. Then it happens that if during that period of 10 hours the refrigerator makes thermostat shutdowns several times, it will no longer thaw in 10 hours if not up to 15 hours approx. DOUBT: Is it normal for the timer to stop turning on the compressor stops by thermostat? NOTE: While the compressor is running, the timer rotates continuously without problem.

Hi Reies, it's completely normal, and as long as it doesn't produce ice buildup on the evaporator coil, everything would be fine. You must be sure that this timer model is the one that originally carries your refrigerator, since the most commonly used timers are used in defrosting systems, which make the timer stop, due to its electrical connection, every time the thermostat is cut, They turn out to be the 6 hour timer.
