Greetings to the community! I have a refridgerator Samsung RS51K5 with ice maker, Twin Cooling, which since yesterday has stopped cooling the refrigerator part. The freezing section cools perfectly (-19C) but the cooling section does not fall below 18C. We tried disconnecting half an hour the equipment and after this began to cool again, but today after an electrical fault in the house has not returned to cool down. I hope the community can guide me regarding this problem as the team has only 5 months of use. Unfortunately we can not access the Samsung warranty as we are in Cuba and have no coverage here. While waiting for your help, I greet you. Alexander

Hello, good morning, it is possible that the problem is due to failure in the automatic defrosting system, in this process the card, resistance and sensors are involved. Check by hand if there is a small draft in the holes in the bottom of the cooling cabinet, if there is no see if the fan in the freezer is working, or try doing a manual defrosting, disconnect it by 24 hrs, leave it with the doors open, after that time reconnect, if the equipment works well, is to check the derailed. Greetings from El Salvador.

Hi John,
Thank you very much for your help. Yesterday after leaving the equipment a half hour in Vacation mode it returned to cool down. Now I notice that it makes a noise when opening the door as if the fan was defective, also when closing the door we noticed an unusual noise. Could it be some faulty fan or something?
Grateful,
Greetings,
Alexander

It is possible that it is a problem of the fan, the switch that controls this or frost obstruction that brushes the blade, if possible remove the rear inner panel of the freezer (where the fan is) and check

Try to identify with is the noise if for example it is chirping or tipping, etc.

Hi John, I checked how you advised me and when I uncovered the panel, I found that the fan was actually skimming with frost and not only the fan plus the small condenser on top was also covered completely by a thick layer of ice, which, after being removed, to cool. I think it's some sensor from the thaw part or something like that. Could you please guide me how to check these sensors? Do you think it could have been a simple blockage product of the enormous heat that we have now and there is nothing damaged? I made a photo of this section but it is something big for my connection and I can not send it now, if you needed to tell me to try to send it by another route. Grateful, Greetings, Alexander

I see on the net that computer is a side by side, which I do not know, and the problem is what I was saying at the first moment, is to check the system of derailing, some cards of that mark there are marked points where to make a bridge so that it enters the defrost, and says bridge, is to see if your team is indicated, but anyway I send you a link with a video that will guide you to verify the system, of course exemplified with a refrigerator of horizontal doors, http://fallaselectronicas.com/nevera-frigorifico-no-frost-electronica/

Many thanks John. I'm going to set the team up for a while to see if it fails again. To return the problem then contact a specialist technician.
Huge thank you!
A hug from Cuba
