Hi Jonathan, it is correct, as Roy already mentions, I suppose your equipment is 12000 BTu (1 ton) you should check the nut union very carefully for any oil stain, however small it may seem, it is an indication of refrigerant leakage if not you find nothing in the nut connections look inside the condenser as well as the evaporator in each welding joint and discuss your achievements or problems that are very helpful for other cases
ammeter you put it in 1 single cable of the 2 that are outside and in any of the 2 cables. You take the Gas pressure to 50 lbs and you leave it working 15 minutes, check again pressure and that pressure must have risen and that is normal ok and see what pressure it has and if it has not reached 60 lbs you take it to that pressure and leave it working 15 min and check it and if the pressure is higher than 65 lbs you will get gas boots up to 63 lbs remember as we have indicated In the Forum, my partner and I must correct the gas leak before recharging.
see label for amperage 4.5 to 5 a
If Libras is the same as psi and the same as psig but in pressures in your case in air conditioners and refrigerators.
you can say psi or psig or pounds and you will be understood as the pressure that marks the needle on the manometer or manifold and can be in Low or High pressure depending on the one being measured.
the one on the Blue clock on the left is LOW pressure and the one on the Right is HIGH pressure.
Mr Jonathan, the Pressure Gauge has the following color code settings for the hoses ..
.. left clock (blue) is the Low pressure and the BLUE hose is connected.
.. right watch (red) is High pressure and the RED hose is connected.
.. The Medium connection is the service connection or the charging connection is YELLOW hose.
answer your question on how to purge the hose ...
. you connect the BLUE hose to the mini split connection. thick pipe
. you connect YELLOW hose to the Gas cylinder.
. you open the key of the gas cylinder.
In the pressure gauge there are 3 connections, which were where you connected the 2 hoses in the left connection (blue) and in the middle connection (the yellow one)
- the connection of the medium slightly loosen the yellow hose so that the accumulated air in the hose comes out, you let out a certain amount of gas and that is called Purging the bottle and ready you purged it and now you do the same with the Blue to purge that hose and that is called purging the Baja side.
this purge is very necessary to NOT introduce air into the system and create possible humility.
After purging you turn on the air conditioner.
You can also purge them with the air conditioning working.
EYE ... with the empty air or after having done the vacuum there you must NOT purge the Blue hose since air would enter the system and you would lose the vacuum and you should only purge the Yellow hose that is the one of the bottle .
