220V does not reach the outdoor unit, 160V arrives

Good morning dear, I have an electrolux air of 2750 frig. Try to boot and cut. The first thing I did was measure if the 220V reached the terminal of the unit. outside when trying to start and they reach around 160V, then measured at the output of the terminal of the unit. interior and the same I have 160V. then check the compressor by measuring the terminals of the common start and run coils and the resolution is that it is defective, the motor compressor must be replaced. The question is whether the tension that reaches the unit. outside is fine, or it has to reach 220V. I have problems on the plate too? Thank you

Hi disconnect the compressor and measure with the equipment running connect the direct compressor (without equipment) and try it. I measured consumption. With 160 V it will not start. The issue is to see where and why the voltage drop occurs. One possible cause is excessive compressor consumption What is the defect you found to the compressor? comment

I already did that test feed the terminals directly and the team tries to start and acts the thermal protector of the compressor. When you try to start the consumption it goes to 25A. I also measured the terminals between common / common start / run, then measured the sum of the start / run coils and the values are wrong. I also measured continuity between the common and compressor housing and gives value. Therefore, clarify that the motor compressor must be replaced. My question is if the board has to send the 220V if or if it can happen that sends less voltage. If not, I also have to replace the plate?

the board has to send 220V yes or yes
That is why I asked you to test and measure the equipment without a compressor and evaluate the origin of the voltage drop if it is the compressor, the plate or the power supply

The compressor is definitely damaged. What you need to know now is if the voltage drop was before the compressor was damaged since it could be damaged by receiving 160 V or if the compressor is the one that generates that drop. The point is not to put a new compressor and encounter another problem.

On the plate. The only thing that can generate the voltage drop is the relay (carbonized contacts)

It can also be a loose or dirty terminal or connection (dust, rust etc)

Greetings, if the equipment is not reaching 220v by any side, you have a problem, not of plate, but of power, before changing compressor or complicate looking for plate failures you must solve that

The feed is ok. The outlet has 220v

That does not mean that this ok. To ensure this, a consumption must be applied to that outlet while measuring voltage.

Hello, try disconnecting the compressor and putting a lamp of 220 and there I measured the terminals again. If they reach 220 it is the compressor that is short. If you keep sending less tension you have problems on the board. If the thermal is outside you should test it too. Luck!
