Automotive air conditioning tightness

Hello good day. I'm a shooter, I have a vacuum pump and I have a car that had a crash; Change the condenser and also the compressor, as they were damaged. Now there are things that I miss. Connect the pressure gauge; Red and blue and yellow to the pump. Activate it by having the knobs that connect to the car open and also those of the pressure gauge for 20 seconds. A quick empty was made to check that there are no losses. Turn off the pump and leave it for an hour, when I returned it is at room pressure (zero for the blue gauge). I said to myself: of course, I have to close the pressure gauge knobs, because otherwise, it leaks from the same pump, after an hour ... it will be minimal, but it will lose. I closed the pressure gauge knobs and at the time I returned; the same. I told myself, of course, I should leave the system empty and close the handles that are connected to the car's pipes, maybe there is a micro loss that occurs after an hour. That is, I made empty and disconnected everything. Supposedly in an hour when reconnecting, empty the hoses and open the car circuit again it should keep the vacuum. Is that the test? What I want is to test if there are no leaks. I don't have the bottle of hydrogen and I saw that it is expensive. Do I have another way to try it? with compressed air? The system does not have a drop of gas. : roll:

Hi. The procedure is as last you did. Yellow hose to the pump Blue to suction High red Start the bomb you open the 2 handles of the manifold You have been empty for 20 minutes, the clock must be empty You close the handles and turn off the pump If you are not sure that your manifold seals everywhere you disconnect it and wait a few hours or if one day is possible You connect the manifold and the vacuum must be maintained A very small microfuge the vacuum will not give it clearly because it is not the same with the gas pressure and temperature, so if you can not put nitrogen (it is not hydrogen) you will have to put the gas and check with soapy water in all system connections to look for leaks NEVER blow air into the system, that generates water or moisture in the internal circuit, which is fatal for the proper functioning of the system.
