Hello query is if it is possible that the air conditioning of a Toyota Hilux after charging refrigerant gas stops working after two or three days ?, I did a vacuum test 40 minutes, and it gave me good, then I charged refrigerant and checked the operation for two hours and no throwing fails, but after three days the circuit is emptied, again detects losses with water and detergent and no leaks are seen, pass the gas detector and also does not detect leaks, charge it again (psi 20 a 35 psi low, 150 to 200 psi high) and it works perfect, now, if it goes past coolant, throws the gas? Is it a rental van, will it be possible to unload it on purpose? I have noticed that the service valve covers are missing, thank you very much

Hello, you can have a micro leak, the subject that lasts very little is rare. What happens that with 20psi of pressure that you give with the refrigerant with the detergent you have to have a gap of 5mm to detect it, put it with nitrogen about 220psi and there you will skip the leak, another thing, you checked that you do not lose by service valves, because when the manifold is connected it will not jump? or as you say they are downloading it on purpose, today you can expect anything from people.

Good morning Haanibal ... Most likely, it has a leak. Pressurize with nitrogen at about 250 psi, if you can do more, but with caution, and if you can, in a quiet place, and there look for the leak. It is very normal for cars to find leaks. Well, everything vibrates, check where there are oil stains. Luck.

What a friend, well I recommend you check the compressor seals and look very well for the evaporator. Usually the leaks are in the evaporator and the leaks are very small, if you have already checked the systems very well on the outside and do not see anything, then take out the evaporator friend, over time the refrigerant you use is corrosive for this reason in automotive cooling this is a headache

If I'm going to have to check very well, you have to disassemble the entire board I guess .. or is it accessible from below? Thank you

Not the same, you would have to disassemble everything because remember that they bring a tank where the water they distilled falls and that is where the fan is attached if you would have to disassemble because they also bring some screws above

Hello People of the forum, I found a micro leak in the low hose pipe, it was just above the seal of the side between the compressor and the pipe, surely on some occasion there has been some stone trapped in that place, it caused a little wear, everyone's opinion was very helpful, thank you very much
