Hi, I need help with the air conditioning of a Toyota Hilux 2010! The problem that is presented to me is that the compressor turns on and off every 10 seconds or so every cycle and this is constantly done. at the air outlet it is about 13 degrees and that does not happen, and the low price goes from 90 when it is turned off at 20 psi short it rises more or less to 40 starts and goes down again to 20 psi and cuts, at high the price is continuously increasing little by little, it has reached 450 psi! Could this be a problem in the expander valve? Thank you!

Hi Pampa: At first glance it seems that it is cutting through the pressure switch, detects low pressure and cuts, when the pressure is recovered it sends the signal to start again. Did you put a fan in the trunk of the truck? This is fundamental. And with the engine at 1500 to 2000 RPM again check the pressures, both low and high. The low pressure must be a little higher, for which you would need to add refrigerant, but respecting the RPM and the fan. Luck, comment your results.

Hi, the prices that frame are at those rpm! As for the coolant I add it and what makes me is that the temperature rises at the air outlet, and the cutting and starting begins to occur more frequently! ALTA's pressure switch bumped him to see if that was the problem but still doing the same!

Did you put the fan in the trunk of the truck? The low pressure switch is what I say that may be causing it to cut. The high cut over pressure and is so that no pipe is broken.

Do not place the fan in the trunk but take it for a spin and do the same! It is heard that the compressor cuts and starts continuously!

To be able to measure the pressures at the times when the compressor cuts and when it starts again, all you can do is be with the truck stopped, fan in the tube and controlling pressures and RPM. Without this stable and reliable data we cannot identify the possible problem.

good afternoon pampa ,,,, in the way you tell it, several factors may be happening ,,,,,, 1st that the electro fan is very slow and creates excess pressure ,,,,, 2nd that the condenser is very dirty and you should wash it ,,,, 3rd that there is some obstruction in the high and low line ,,, and at the same time that the expansion valve is damaged ,, 4th check if the belt is too loose I am too tight ,,,, ,,,,, what color is the oil ,,,? and tell us

Hello! This truck has no electric fan, it has a fan that is constantly on and that varies according to the variations of the engine!
