Should the compressor cut?

Hi, I just bought a 1 ton whirlpool inverter minisplit and the installer told me that the compressor should never cut, is that correct? If you don't cut, don't you spend more light? the device is 220V

It should be clarified that invert systems are designed not to stop running, this makes alternate use of the device is not very convenient, if the idea is to turn it on a couple of hours per day is not the best option

Hello Mr. Pepeham and colleagues from the forum, please beg me to read my new comment and apologies, in the proposed solutions section. Thanks in advance to all for your support and understanding in the face of my serious interpretive error. S @ lu2 friovega63.

If you have an inverter air conditioner, you have two main advantages compared to the old ON / OFF (No Inverter) systems:

Energy saving: as the compressor modulates depending on the need within the premises, it is not always at maximum power and that translates into lower energy consumption.
Comfort: when the thermostat detects a temperature close to the setpoint temperature the compressor does not stop completely but reduces its rpm. Therefore we do not feel that our equipment stops air conditioning.
Durability: The inverter compressor is able to modulate according to demand, so that the operation of the equipment does not stop but regulates its power to a minimum. The start / stop of the continuous compressor is what reduces the service life of this, so in this way how the compressor only stops when we stop using the equipment, we extend the life of this component.
In summary, the explanation given by the installer is correct, the inverter system never stops its operation, the compressor only increases or reduces the revolutions, and does not consume more energy than a common equipment, saves energy, greetings.
Hello Pepeham, logically all equipment must cut, not only for saving energy, but also prevents that if at any given time, the air would overcome the thermal load of the room, when cutting the compressor, it would be avoided, any formation of frost in the evaporator bringing associated two serious problems, first that when covered with ice the panel finned in the evaporator, automatically already the air would stop cooling, when it stopped circulating itself through the coil and two more serious Still, liquid refrigerant can begin to reach the compressor and damage its valves, permanently removing it from service. S @ lu2 friovega63. OK, colleagues I admit my stupidity, half because honestly before Sunday I spent a beautiful and last day on vacation, in Playa del Carmen and the Riviera Maya in Cancun Mexico and at night and late at the hotel, with the sums of ( Tequila, Mezcal Siete Misterios) and the inspired technician, between, in the forum and honestly, I didn't see the word (inverter) anywhere. I have as a defense, hundreds of written in my possession on the subject, in addition, and participated in several events and I am well updated on the practical technical issue thanks to the Cubans living in Florida who have been carrying these teams for several years. my country, but as we say in Cuba, before yesterday, really, (the plane left me), with the little word. I modestly apologize, colleagues and, above all, to Mr. Pepeham, which I hope will not take badly, or take into account my past comment, since this alone would be applicable to conventional air conditioning systems. From there arises the half that I mentioned earlier and the key to my mistake, which even yesterday I confess, in front of the first two negative votes, I could not see, the fudge, until again sober, (ufff) I read the written. Well, I just hope that among the trial that they have done to me, the cluster of negative votes, more adding my sincerest apologies, compensates the grievance somewhat. I promise in the future, take more care and less Tequila, as long as I do not return to CANCUN, clearly I would only avoid entering the Forum, the work does not really link with the drink. I reiterate a thousand apologies. Thanks for the comunication. A fraternal, S @ lu2 from Havana Cuba. friovega63.

Friovega:
Your answer is totally wrong
INVERTER systems do not stop running, minimize it by modifying the revolutions of the compressor and with it the volume of coolant, so the engine cools and keeps the system in constant operation avoiding the formation of frost and with a much lower consumption. Although conventional equipment when being detained consume nothing, when working they do it at full load so that consumption is maximum

When working at full load the general wear is maximum and the consumption also,
The OMORMA colleague gave a very good response in this regard

Support, and I add that in conventional ones, the highest consumption occurs at startup. The more you start the more you consume.
