Hello everyone, and of course, thanks in advance. I have been a refrigeration technician for 14 years, (Argentina) working today, I found a doubt with a team of 18,000 Kcal Marca Electra. It is a computer that was in disuse and un-installed for a couple of years. I have to install it and put it into service. check each piece of it and almost everything works. Compressor, forgers, and general condition is good. What I do have to change is the control board, because the one that has it is broken. I started to check the inverter valve, and I notice that in the rest position, that is, without energizing, it is in Heat mode. Bone condenser discharge x suction pipe (larger diameter tube). when I energize the solenoid, (24 V coil) the condenser discharges x the discharge pipe (thin tube). I always believed that the cycle reversing valves were "normal Cold", to call it somehow. Is this so, or are there equipment that uses a "normal Heat" valve? (Bone, energized works cold and without energizing in heat?) If this is so, for me it would be something new, since I had never seen it. On the other hand, I also need to know what type of platelet I should install, since here in Argentina I can not dream of getting the original, for at least a reasonable price. if I could get one of type "Universal". As a fact, the equipment has 3-phase single-phase blowers and the flaps move with stepper motors that operate at 12 V continuous. well, thank you very much to those who can help me

Hi there are teams that the reversing valve in cold mode are enriched, they are normal in heat mode.
With respect to the platelet I have not changed in floor-to-ceiling equipment, but I saw universal placed.
Consult an important refrigeration house they know or expect that a colleague will help you.
regards

Hello Dok, as it goes, the ideal is to repair the original, but there is no option, the plate that is normally used for such equipment is a universal plate of A. Acond. Ceiling floor, model Qd-u10a, googleala, you get about 1 luca. I have to comment you some details regarding the flapers swing. What I am still thinking about is the subject of the valve, this plate will energize the valve in heat mode, the opposite of how you need it.

Once, reading a forum, he said that the air conditioners f / c that have the inverting valves that are energized in cold mode and rest in heat mode, it was because those equipment were intended for use in regions where the cold predominates, and they are used for heating and too little to cool ... if the valve burns, you don't run out of heating ... I don't know if it's true, it can be a matter of design too .... regards

Thank you very much dear colleagues. I begin to realize that my conclusions were right then about the reversing valve. I had never seen that. I have learned something new !! and regarding the board to use, then I will comment which one I install. Surely this will take me a couple more days, since where I have to install it is on site. triatlon99 I appreciate your contribution. SplitBoy, thanks too. the original platelet does not go, literally ate the rats where the equipment was stored. I am looking forward to your contributions on the flapers. I keep in touch thanks !!!!!

The theme of the flapers on that plate that the model passes you, is that it has a 5-pin comb at 12 v where it has a common at one end, and it depends on how you put it, it turns to one side or the other, when it turns off, You have to check that the deflector lid is closed, if it stays open, you have to turn the chip in the comb and that's it. The issue is, if you have 2 flapers, there is only one tab. I particularly use the plate in a BGH of 15 frig. And it has only one flap. you would have to attach them to a card and see if the deflector covers close parallel or meet, I don't know if I explain Dok.

Hello dears!! Today I was working on the team in question. In fact, as you said, it has a "Normal heat" cycle reversing valve. This is new for me. Well, I decided to install a universal plate, they are sold in the houses of the bouquet and they are called "for ceiling floor", like the equipment. They cost $ 1000. The inverter valve must be connected together with a "Normal closed" type contactor, so that when the heat order is given, the plate will de-energize the valve. As for the flapers, then I tell them. thank you very much !!!!

Dear ... I have finally installed the equipment I told you about. 100 points left. place a universal platelet QD-U10A. I had already installed it in a 3000 kcal split once. It is quite complete, it comes with an ambient and working temperature display. It also has a pin to connect the engine oil heating resistor (a scroll). As for the flapers, the team has two, side by side. that open in parallel and not to meet. As the plate has a single comb to connect them, connect the two motors to a single comb and they go from ten. I only have one contact thermostat, which was already manufactured with the equipment, and I don't know if it would be useful to the system with its new plate. I also put a phase protector, because the phase cuts are very common x here really, I look great, I appreciate your comments. They were very helpful. well, greetings to all and I hope it is helpful to others everything described here. greetings to all!!
