Good morning, yes, it happened to me only once and it was with a compressor of a water cooler, I estimate that the unit was about 1/10 hp, it had no label, the case was that I measured the coils, and I placed one of the phases in the thermal and the other in the relay in the terminal that was supposed to be running (work) which gave me less value in ohms, the result is that it did not turn on and the amperage was high, I changed the phase towards the other terminal (the one with the highest resistance) and to my surprise, it turned on perfectly and compressed me to more than 400 psi with excellent amperage, that is, in this compressor everything seems to indicate that the one with the highest resistance was the work coil, It only happened to me once.
