TAIT VHF Repeater

Best regards to all: I am very grateful to anyone who can give me a hand with this issue: I have a TAIT repeater (two independent modules) which was in service on a commercial frequency. But it was presented to us and we did reprogram it at frequencies for Amateur Radio but from there it has been working badly, it crashes. The technician says that it is something with program code in the mathematical formula for frequency and that he does not know what else to do. It is a fairly old device, it uses EPROM memory to program each module. For the rest it is good and endures other good years. I request very cordially who has the program or know how it is done explain me to better illustrate the technician and he does not have expertise in the brand of these teams. (it has the memory programmer) The data areTAIT - RECEIVER T835-20TAIT - TRANSCIVER T-836-20 OPERATING FREQUENCIES Tx: 147.030 MHz Rx: 147.630 MHz Tone Tx and Rx = 85.4 Hz Greetings from ColombiaGracias TAIT-1.jpeg [55.07kb] TAIT-2.jpeg [125.60kb]

From Google, I put the model that you indicate more the phrase "manual service" without the quotes obviously and the first link you bring is the receiver's manual in PDF with the manufacturer's specifications and much more information. By this means you cannot share files or link to copyrighted material so I do not.

Generally the repeaters designed for commercial use do so in differences (Shift) of + - 4, 5, 6 or more MHz between RX, TX so they do not work in applications such as those of amateur radio with 600KHz shift. According to the technical manual that equipment (20 and also 25) is in the range 148-174MHZ, that is, it is programmed outside what the manufacturer specifies as a useful service range. Supports maximum separations between channels farther than 3MHz. You do not report what does not work or performs abnormally. It doesn't surprise me at all that they can't make her walk. Clarification: I never saw, use or repair one of that brand which I don't know all about it. I only speak from my experience and for having read / leafed through the technical data contained in the service manual found on the WEB.
