Hello, if you're right in that regard. From what I could read out there, this team has since made a bad reception. Moreover, using the same ringo antenna and RG58 cable with another device (Alinco DR 140) I listen to everything I didn't hear with the other device. The question was if anyone knows this QYT KT7900D (quad-band) equipment, and if any modification can be made electronically to solve the poor reception, I think due to the lack of filters or something. same thanks
Sometimes the circuits that commute the antenna input to the different receivers in that kind of equipment fail, or also in the input of the antenna in reception there are diodes that protect the receiver from extremely high signals and that are short-circuited protecting the equipment . Being short therefore the reception is almost nil.
Another possible failure is that the RF ampilifier transistor is damaged.
You have to be very careful when measuring since many of these components are very sensitive to static electricity discharges that we can have in our dresses.
