EPSON printer instead of letters prints stripes

It's an EPSON stylus 480 printer, I know it's very old, but it's on an old machine with Windows XP and its original driver, It has new cartridges and clean heads, I attached a photo of how to print plain text from the Notepad.

If anyone knows the defect or has any ideas I will appreciate it.

Have you tried reinstalling drivers and updating printer firmware (if available)?





Try to connect the printer to another PC, I leave the link of the installer and run it in compatibility mode with the system where you have it (Windows XP, Service Pack XXX), this only to rule out any situation with the driver.

That driver is the one I have, it was already re-listed, I have done everything that could be done at the software level, I don't think it's a software problem.


