transient peaks in the network

Good morning and cordial greetings to my colleagues. I have a problem in a telecommunication hill of an FM station I have a transmitter that feeds at 220 Vac and 30 amps per phase. my question is ????? What device or device can I buy? or do it in an artisanal way if it can be done to protect my transmitter from the transient peaks because every time that happens that the transmitter is protected and turned off and we are outside the station. and it is boring to move to that hill to climb the breaks again to turn on and air the station again. or a device that protects x each phase at 120 Vac bone would be two devices if you can or one in a phase with respect to ground or neutral. THE TRANSMITTER IS OR IS POWERED AT 220 VAC EYE 30 AMPS PER PHASE atte: david colombia Email deleted

Do you want to protect the ups of an FM transmitter? or directly protect the transmitter?

If what I want is to protect my transmitter for now! he is the one that constantly turns me off about the ups is in 6 months I will connect it and turn it on so that my transmitter protects me. For now it is protecting my transmitter.

I mean ... what you want is to protect the FM transmitter from the transistory peaks of the public network, until in 6 months you can put your ups ... did I get it wrong?

SO IS ! FOR NOW IS TO PROTECT MY TRANSMITTER FROM THE ELECTRICAL NETWORK AND ITS TRANSITIONAL OR DROPPED PEAKS OR ELEVATIONS BECAUSE THE TRANSMITTER DETECTS AND PROTECTS AND TURNS OFF. THEN I HAVE TO PLACE OR INSTALL WHILE BOTH IN 6 MONTHS I CAN ALREADY PLACE MY UPS THERE ON THE HILL FOR PROTECTION.

I do not think you have another solution ... I think that a UPS is the most appropriate but for what reason can you not put it now? keep in mind that you can burn the transmitter before buying the UPS and it will hurt more ... be careful with that

BECAUSE THE UPS IS POWERED WITH THREE PHASES AND NEUTRAL / EARTH AND ON THE CERRO FOR NOW I ONLY HAVE TWO PHASES AND NEUTRAL / EARTH THAT IS WHY I CAN NOT TURN ON MY UPS UNTIL THE ELECTRIFIER TAKES ME UP TO THE CLOSE THE OTHER PHASE TO TURN ON THE UPS AND ON THE OUTPUT CONNECT MY TRANSMITTER ALREADY AT 220 VAC

IT RESULTS THAT THAT UPS IS POWERED IS WITH THREE PHASES AND ITS NUMBER OF THE CONTRARITIES DOES NOT TURN ON AND ALREADY ON ITS OUTPUT I ONLY USE TWO PHASES TO FEED MY TRANSMITTER
BUT THERE ONLY FOR NOW I HAVE TWO PHASES AND NEUTRAL OR EARTH AND THE TRANSMITTER IS DIRECT TO THE NETWORK FOR THAT I AM LOOKING FOR SOMETHING THAT PROTECTS ME FROM THOSE FAULTS FOR 6 MONTHS ALWAYS WHEN I HANDLE 30 AMPS PER PHASE

When powered by 2 phases of 110V, the current is 30A. It is the same current that enters through one phase, which returns through the other phase. It is the same to say that 30A circulates through the phase and the neutral.
The power is 6.6 KVA.

Hi. Your solution is somewhat expensive but definitive and effective. It would be an online UPS that are the ones that feed with its own voltage (generated by the device) in a constant and pure way. When they enter service they continue to generate tension. The network is used only to charge the batteries. I leave you a link so you can see what it is about. What servimat says is like that. I installed many of these, they are UPS or Online UPS, the others are OFFLINE, there are some intermediate ones that say that they are always generating voltage synchronized with the network voltage, but they work with bypass of the network voltage and in case of disturbance they change to UPS voltage in a couple of milliseconds, without the team noticing, this says its manual but I never checked it. In Spain there are many brands of UPS Online, such as Merlin Gerin or Salicrú. This last brand that is the one I install, such as in operating rooms or computer server rooms, you choose from its menu if you want to work Online or Ofline. Depending on the problem there may be solutions without UPS, but you need to place a network analyzer, to know what is the problem (surges, network gaps, harmonics, etc, etc), but with the UPS you solve them whatever it is. Good luck and regards.

In case you do not know, a UPS will not protect against fluctuations or spikes in the network voltage. Because the UPS works bypass normally and when the voltage is interrupted, the inverter starts working with the batteries.

Good morning, and cordial greeting Don Ennio, I have told you that the energy on the hill does not go away! If we do not believe that the fact that the transmitter equipment is protected is not due to lack of voltage. if not by transient peaks in milli-seconds or that something suddenly happens in the network and that is why it is detected by the transmitting equipment and protected, it is not because the energy is fenced for minutes or for hours not.
What you say is true if the energy goes completely the ups go back to backing otherwise not.
so I'm looking for something that protects me each phase or a phase that is only 120 Vac

Ennio, there are ups with sine wave filtering and voltage compensation ... I have one for my pc, sublimation plotters and some other sensitive APC (schneider electric) 1500va electronics. Although, most of the ups are only batteries
