Good afternoon I wanted to know if you can help me with a technical explanation because I should make a change of lighting from Halogenated Mercury Equipment to Led it's cheaper ? Do you have more life? Do you have more Lumens? Ect, Ect, Ect. . . . ?

In addition to all that, which is the pure truth, there is another important point and it is that by the Rosh norm, of world scope (IEC), the evaporating lamps of mercury can no longer be manufactured, although according to the countries there are some moratoriums, for Example in Spain are no longer for sale.
Mercuirio, cadmium, lead, and others can only be used if there is no replacement, for example in fluorescence microcopes, in laboratories, (HBO lamps), where there is an alternative, it cannot be manufactured.

Another example, I don't know if you notice that soldering tin in electronics is now very bad. I used to have a lead part and not now.

Hi. The advantages are several. The duration, electrical consumption, temperature, design of the electrical installation, weight, etc. are some advantages. For example, you turn it on to an LED reflector and it achieves its light output immediately, one of mercury or sodium needs some time to enter the regime. While the investment in LED is important at the beginning, you will earn on the electric bill, duration, lighting quality, low temperature, etc. With less power in LED you will achieve the same performance in conventional lighting lumens. What corroborates what the colleague servimat says, is that in the city where I live, the vast majority of street lighting has been changed. The change in lighting is impressive.

Effectively. Here in Córdoba Argentina they also replaced all the mercury and sodium luminaires of the main avenues and as you say, the change in lighting quality, consumption and heat are spectacular. Regards

High pressure mercury vapor lamps were discontinued, were prior to the rise of high pressure sodium vapor, are more polluting, incandescent only outperform light, need a heavy ballast like all lamps discharge so they generate reactive energy, have a progressive on time of about 4 minutes and a reignition time. However, high-pressure mercury vapor with metal halides have a higher light output than any LED projector, so it is not comparable to light a soccer field with several 2000 W halide projectors than with LED projectors. For powers of less than 1000 W the LED is more recommended, yes, if it is damaged, the entire projector must be replaced.
