Hello Two things may be happening, one that the inlet pressure for some reason of the distribution company decreases to such a value that it causes the regulator to cut due to lack of gas, as a prevention measure for ignited devices. The other is that there is a very high loss or consumption that triggers the cut for alleged loss. Some of these two are the reasons why the safety of the meter is skipped. Cheers !
