Recessed wall tank that was drilled by a drill

Good Morning! I briefly tell you my situation: I was drilling some holes to place a shelf and I made a hole with the wick of the hole in the water tank of the toilet that is embedded in the wall. It is a small hole since I was working with a wick of 8. The point is that it is in a place of difficult access, quite close to the base of the tank. I tried to cover it with Parsecs putty but added to the discomfort due to the location of the hole, it turns out that the putty does not adhere very well due to the humidity and dirt that accumulates on the tank walls in constant contact with the water. Any ideas? I can not chop the wall because I am a tenant and I would like to solve it well but without breaking anything.

Hello, in a house of elements for chemistry laboratories, get a rubber stopper from those used in glass tubes, according to the diameter of the wick, then you manage to put it from the inside, and hopefully, matter solved for 30 years. luck

If the deposit is made of cement, you must fix it from the inside, first put a cloth at the exit of the shutter below.- sand around the hole, then cover the hole with outer poximix, making a good pastiche around it.- let it dry for an hour and then dry you paint that sector with asphalt paint flush.- In a few hours you can use it if everything went well.- If it is iron is another story.- greetings

Thanks for your answer. It is the solution that was simpler for me and that fulfills its objective. You have a good day.

Hello, I pass once with a pipe that was lead, and I solved it by putting a screw larger than the hole. While the hole I made was with a smaller wick (5 mm I think) it worked perfectly.

Hi. Anything you do will be visible and if you don't do it inside the tank, the humidity will start to pass to the tiles / ceramics that you have on the walls in a few days. The solution would be to break even if it is not a ceramic, clean the area well and place a plug of some plastic or rubber material but with some epoxy type adhesive. It may be the Parsecs but in cream or the famous Poxipol. Clean and dry the area with a hair dryer, mold the cap until it enters just, you put a little adhesive and let it dry well. He will not lose anymore. The issue is to do it now since the hole is "new" and there are no humidities that have advanced. This loss by simply placing a cork or rubber stopper can ruin the walls, moisture stains on closets, etc. However, if you say that you are a tenant at the time of delivering the property, the problem will have worsened and you will have to do it anyway. hello: you can use a screw with nut and bronze washer of the same diameter of the hole you put rubber gaskets one inside and the other outside you adjust the nut and with that it should look good, if you don't get bronze you could also use the plastic screws those who come to hold the toilet bags greetings
