Hello everyone, I have a question about the use of dies, at this moment I am about to make a connection in my house and I have to buy a tap. As I still had no advice on the use of it, I would need to know how to calculate the number of fillets needed in the thread or the measure of it for when a piece that changes the direction of the pipe is going to be placed. For example, if the pipe is going through the floor and at a certain point I need to place an elbow that points to the right, as it is calculated or how I know when to stop the thread that I make in the pipe so that when I put the elbow it stops when it points in the direction I need, and it doesn't happen to me when I'm adjusting or butt before and not that the elbow is pointing in another direction. I do not know if it is something that should be calculated or if the manual dies have some mole for this. Thank you in advance for the help you can provide.

Hello There is no technique to, through the threads, direct a particular piece. Yes, there are a number of fillets to be made according to the size of the pipe. The thread must be conical, so the tap must be for this purpose. Measure, remove the epoxy paint no further than necessary, make the cone or entrance to the tap and then with the glycerin and lithogirium preparation said joint is sealed. Being well adjusted, putting the preparation in the male thread (never in the female) you can move it to the necessary point without fear of leaks. I leave a table of the gas regulation for the realization of the threads. Regards

Excellent, and apparently for what I was finding out the mouths of each measure already brings the exact number of fillets can it be?

Hi, generally yes! but if you count them there is no room for error. In case of adjustable dies you can vary the depth and make the thread in two passes as Mariotti explains.

Hello: if you buy a dinghy looking for adjustable combs, it allows you to make the thread with better termination and less effort, the measure of the thread in 1/2 and 3/4 spout is 1.5 cm approximately 9 fillets no more than that, when you make the thread you try it by screwing the accessory by hand you have to stay 3 or 4 steaks outside that is what you adjust by force with the spout wrench there is allows you to position the elbow without making you stop or look the other way , armed does not have to be seen or a thread steak outside the accessory, before makes a couple of practice threads greetings

Hi. Actually you must make the thread the width of the die die. To address the accessories, simply adjust them to their final position. Regards
