How to paste bacha double stainless steel granite countertop?

Hello! I feel a little silly asking this question. But I'm worried I will not find a solution. For the past 10 years, I have had a double steel bar that was in its place without problems in the granite kitchen counter (glued from below). But at the beginning of this year began to give off. So I consulted the toilets 'house and they advised me to use Parsecs' [e] steel epoxy adhesive cream . I removed the bacha, removed the old adhesive and paste the cream respecting the time of extraction. But in a few weeks it came off. Convinced that maybe I did something wrong, I went back to buy the adhesive, cleaned it with more care and again soon after it came off. I then contacted the manufacturer, who ordered a sample of the detached adhesive removed, analyzed it and concluded that it was properly prepared. Then they gently sent me 2 pots of epoxy cream to put it back on, claiming that it was the right amount to use. That was about 3 months ago ... I placed it carefully following all the indications they gave me and yesterday it came back to release for the 3rd time in the year !! Apparently it peels clean off the side of the granite. The adhesive is deposited in the flange of the bacha. Anyone who participated in this forum had any positive experience to recommend me how to effectively place a stainless steel basin under a granite countertop? Is there any reliable and effective adhesive for this job? Thank you!!! Greetings. Sergio

Hi. Doing a job well done is complicated but effective and definitive. We have done it several times over the years with very good results. The first thing is to turn the allowance or that the part of adhesion of the bacha is upwards. Remove any adhesive residue that may exist (it can be with a grinder and a steel conical brush) leaving everything very clean and without any debris of any kind. It is passed the same brush to the edge of the bacha until leaving it bright, without fat. Then all is cleaned with common alcohol and once dry a cord is made in the area of the bacha with silicone sealant of good quality and is allowed to dry for at least 12 hours. This guarantees the tightness and prevents fungi between the bacha and the marble. To make the mechanical adhesion of the bacha with the stone is used plastic putty. It is the one that is used in the workshops of sheet and painting. You can buy it in any hardware store or paint shop. You must prepare it with the proportions indicated by the manufacturer and place around the bacha joining this with the marble in a thickness of not less than 1 cm. Once dry you can place another "hand" to make the resistance even higher. If you dry the putty, you can replace the counter in its place. If you do it with the instructions of the products, clean well and let dry well, the work will be final and lasting for many years. Putty once dry is very hard, like stone. regards

Thank you servimat1 !!
I have a plastic putty brand Henkel, TEROSON UP 320 PF, who had bought it for a car job (I had bought it to repair the plastic bumper), do you think it works?
Another, you think that putting the bacha from below and propping it from below will not work? It is difficult to get the allowance to do as you describe ...
Greetings.
Sergio

The method that describes servimat is the best, if the counter is cast you can help by making a press with 2 thick wood (3 x 3 minimum) and pressing with 2 threaded rods through the holes in the drain, you will have to leave at least 5 days to cure the putty well, and a minimum day the silicone, if you add all the patience you will have a good result!

OK servimat1 and MDQ heating.
The last thing I ask you before you mark the answer is if you can confirm if the putty I commented in the previous comment is adequate or if you suggest me one.
A thousand thanks again to both!
Greetings.

There are no problems that you use. What if it should be at least 1 kg to make the job well done and durable. Otherwise there are no problems. regards
