Is it possible to connect two wires to a thermomagnetic switch?

Hi, We have a house with two floors each with its own cable that reaches the load center, my specific question is can you connect these two cables that will feed the two floors to a single thermomagnetic switch and if possible, how would it be? It is worth mentioning that there are only foci (5 on each floor and 3 encuches on each) and that I am from Mexico. Thank you very much for your help and time to respond.

As a power, it can be done, as long as the load at the exit of the protector is less than or equal to that supported by it. But, and there is always a but, it is not recommended since it does not favor conductivity, and perhaps not in accordance with the country's regulations. Ideally, from the key to cut the entrance, feed two protectors, one for each floor. The latter will give you a better chance of isolating future failures. If you do not have another one, for economic or similar reasons, if you connect it, while the load is in line, it will work for you. (Check the temperature at the thermal outlet every so often) You do not clarify what amperage your thermal is, nor what charge They use your spotlights. In general, 10A goes well for "normal" lighting Greetings from Uruguay

Thermomagnetic protections should not be selected according to the load to be applied to them but according to the conductors they protect
In other words, if I have a circuit that consumes 30A and whose conductors barely support 15A, I cannot place a thermomagnetic of 30A or more, I will have to place a thermomagnetic of 15A or less

With load, I refer to the intensity necessary to satisfy the power consumption of the connected elements. Watt = Volts x Amps. Example: 5 lamps of 250W in a 230Volt line, clear and I have 5.43A, that is, with a thermal of 10A I am doing well. regards

Obviously, put drivers according to said consumption.
