How to install an additional thermomagnetic switch

Hello friends, I bought an electric shower and in the installation and watching videos it says that the cables of the same must be installed in a thermomagnetic switch, but from the bathroom of my house to the main one they are several meters and it would be very exposed it facilitates me more (since my other bathroom overlooks the patio) put an additional one on the patio to be exclusive to the electric shower. I only have some doubts: 1) Can I take (or make a socket) from an outlet in the yard for the switch? 2) What I want to do is possible or I am totally wrong on the subject Thank you very much for your time and help in advance.

GreetingskarimBuilder. Regarding your first question, the answer is No. The reason is very simple: Electric showers consume too much depending on either the amperage or power indicated on it. They carry a specific conductor or cable according to their consumption and the circuit that you have with the plug very likely the driver will not be able to supply it and you will have possible fire regrettably. Use a plug to connect it even less. In the long run the plug will stop serving and the contacts will be damaged. We do not know where you write to us (country?) And depending on the country the driver may be different depending on whether it is the metric system or if it is the English system. In relation to your 2nd question, and part of it has been answered and to complete it, the electric shower must be connected to a double thermomagnetic to protect the conductors to use as indicated in the legend of the case where the shower is incorporated. On the other hand you should consider that very possibly during the use of the electric shower you will have to stop using other electrical appliances of great consumption, it is not going to be that the main thermomagnetic is triggered by excess consumption. Comment on it. Thanks and regards.

Hi You are totally wrong an electric shower cannot be fed from an outlet must have an exclusive wiring from the main board with the appropriate cable which if it is remote should not be less than 6 mm2. The thermal must be located on the same board where the circuit originates you must not ignore the grounding, if you already have one in the installation you can use that one, but you will have to provide one as mandatory and whose cable between the shower and the javelin must be of the same section as the line conductors Cheers

Does that mean that another switch cannot be installed unless it is taken from the main or the wiring from outside?

Yes ... and as long as the main cable has enough capacity for the shower plus the rest of the household consumption
