Doubt with cable for ceiling fan luminaire

Hello Dear Community !!! I have a doubt, to a client I am changing the entire luminaire of a ceiling fan from Dicroicas to Leds, the device had siliconized cables, I guess because of the heat, can I now put a common cable, that is not siliconized? that is to say, the common cable would be affected by some type of fan vibration, to be specific in my question, mechanically speaking, the silicon was only put by the heat? Thank you very much for your suggestions. Have a nice day!!!

Hello, usually silicone cable comes from the factory, but what is commonly used is the cable for these cases and more is the 7-wire flexible cable that is commercial, make sure that it is a good brand original usually uses the number 12 for these cases , thinner like 14 would not be so ideal, you have to splice or join them well, if you want more security use vulcanized insulating tape or screw terminals on the joints, make sure that the blades are well balanced and well secured to the ceiling so you don't have vibration problems

Hi. If you use common (incandescent) dicriocas you should use the same siliconized cable. Do not splice it. Change the entire section directly or change the dicros for their LED versions. Regards

Dear servimat1, I may not express myself well at all, I am migrating from dichroic to LED, which does not heat up, there will be no splicing since I disassemble it completely and I will change all the new cables, without any splicing, the question was if I could use 1mm common cable (to spare for 3 led of 7w each) what do you think?

If they are led dicros, they consume a few milliamps in 220V. You can use the cable you mention without problems. Regards
